Celebrate Earth Day with a stroll through the woods looking for native wildflowers. This is the best time of the year to enjoy native wildflowers as they are blooming in states across North America. If you live in states as far west as Minnesota down to Missouri or as far east as Southern Ontario down to the Carolina’s grab a copy of Wake Up, Woods. It is a book that showcases the splendor of our warming forests and offers clues to nature’s annual springtime floral show as we walk in our parks and wilderness areas, or even in shade gardens around our homes. Readers of Wake Up, Woods will see a captivating look into our forests’ biodiversity, showing how species depend on plants for food and help assure plant reproduction. This book celebrates some of nature’s most fascinating moments that happen in forests where we live and play. As Richard Louv (author of Last Child in the Woods) says of Wake Up, Woods “An enchanting peek into the splendor that awaits us outdoors.”
